This is what I like about you fellows....nobody will admit defeat...reguardless. ol Tomahawk was princing around like a mocking bird with new wings that day....thought he had a 50 plus but came up short... I have to admit though...he scared me...just a little bit...not much though. Well try... try again, maybe this year somebody can take the bounty money. Its going have to be a new guy though....these old timers has run out of luck on the bounty money.

Well I do think there are some really big dark shadows in Tuckertown...I think I might just have to fish that one.

i have only fished badin one time in a ccc tourney, i had to cull a 25lb because i fish alone, is there still a creel law on badin for the blue cats. i think i may have met some of you there , i had a 24' toon that ain't pretty but it fishes good.

Yea I fished that event bowler man...there is still a creel on badin...you need a partner at badin...not a big issue with these fellows though...they will team up with you ...if need be. Only event I won last year was with frogman...never fished with him before...we got lucky that day and won it. Just post up if you want to fish it...someone will jump on board with you....we just do these as fun events. we only weigh in two fish...I think it was the same for that event you won.

Last time I gave a Tillery report back in the spring .I got lectured in a PM someone felt I gave to much info, but thats just me. It kind of made me not want to even post so I didn't for a while . I'm getting over the comments I quess. I like posting on occasion.

I fished Tillery last night only one bite and one 15 lb blue drifting a slip float set at 15 foot to catch it . I should of fished for suspended blues early that night out in the main lake.I wasted a lot of time fishing shallow for flatsheads. I didn't try that technigue till right before I left .Just wondering now what could of happened if I would of started fishing like that earlier. Bait was easy Very Big gizzard shad around the edges of the grass beds out in main lake. (Thermocline) got every thing pushed up in the water column ? A few Recreational juggers out in but they looked like the fun juggers with kids not the big time destroy the population commercial juggers .Nice night on the water. Thats a cold water Tillery fish in my avatar Michael. Caught with the biggest gizzard shad that I at the time every put on a hook . My buddy had just said he read a artical in a magizine about using small bait in the winter and not drift fishing. I barely cut the tail off around 1 lb gizzard shad and we were drifting, the bait itself had the rod bent down . 5 minutes after dragging it caught that one in 40 foot of water (main channel at Tillery) .

Everybody that tourney fishes at one time or another will sandbag.....just very few of them will confess....like I did. Its just part of competition though...I think its funny and I dont mean to hurt nobodies feelings but I got a memory like a elephant and when I seen gearhead say they was 20s still in tuckertown ...I remebered his post a week or so ago...fishing was tuff then. Gearhead is a good fisherman ...no dout about it...thats why he is our champion here on the yadkin. They is alot bigger flatheads than 20s in tuckertown...one member here has a 53 from there.....recently. There is also some blues in tuckertown. Maybe not the numbers as other lakes have around here but it wouldnt surprise me to see some in our coming up event. Alot of folks think tuckertown has been fished out of flatheads....I dont think so. Flatheads are just finicky feeders at times. Im hoping the timing of this event will bring forth a good bite with the coming winter months...the flatheads should be feeding heavy for the winter shut down....we will see. With that said...I have never caught a flathead out of tuckertown myself......oooopps another sandbagger.

It could be Jerry my heads in the way. I think the Tucker town tournament will suprize some folks .If every element of good fishing would come together it could be a really good weigh in. Tucker Town has alot more structure and snags through out the lake for potential big Flatties than Badin or Tillery put together. I wouldn't be surprized either if winner could be to channel cats
