Cashed in my MC2 raffle winnings today with Chris Simpson of FightinDablues Guide Service at lake Monticello. We caught a ton of nice fish with top five coming in at 167lbs!!! The two biggest was a 44 lber that I caught and a 38 lber that livebaiter caught. We had a super good time....I would of never thought we could do that good in the daytime but Chris told me when the fish was biting and he was right on target. I was very impressed with his service and highly refer him to anyone wanting to catch big fish in SC. He knows his stuff...best guided trip I ever took in SC. IT was my first catfish guided trip. All I can say is what a way to start them off... I would definitely recommend him to anyone who likes catching big blues. Thanks again Michael and Chris.

Heck Bill ...livebaiter told me to get in the front ...set down and shut up! I slipped to the back once to get a bent rod. I got that one and just got the fish in the boat and livebaiter said get out of the way rod down!...So I helped him get that one too...it was the 44 lber. Heck I believe I might have big fish of the month for August SC now!!!

My favorite part of that video was when livebaiter asked if I was going to let him have that 44 since it was his turn....I said" my hearing aid just quit". Chris I really enjoyed that trip...memories that will last a life time again. Thanks

Dang! That sounds like an awesome trip!! That should get everyone pumped for the tournament this weekend on Monticello.

Chris Simpson is a heck of a good guide, very knowledgeable, and an all around nice guy. No matter how much you know about catfish you can learn something from spending a day with him on the water.
