Triple Fish Chum line Leader

Last fall when placing an order for some stuff at Cabelas, my usual leader material was out of stock, so I looked around to see what else was availiable and affordable and found they had a special on this stuff called Chum Line,,,well I have used their regular leader material before and knew it was good stuff, but to have a leader material infused with fish amino acids kinda got my curiosity up. Your probably wondering what the heck an amino acid is and to put it simply,,it's a plants or animals natural fats and oils,,hell I got 20 or 30 gallons stored up for hard times



So during a few trips down to the James last fall and winter, I noticed a couple poles were consistantly catching more and bigger cats, and even under some really tough fishing conditions like Ken Freemans tourney back in April, I caught really nice big cats, before and after the tourney, but sadly we lost the only big fish we hooked up on to a tree during the tourney. Well I had only one more final convincing test to perform and that was on the wiley Burnsville flatheads over Memorial Weekend,,,Bang two nice flatheads that weekend, a 42 and 56 lber. Both of these fish came from a common flathead fishing spot on the lake, that historically has produced very few fish with the best being in the 30's,,some buddies of mine say they hate that spot because it rarely produces.

Now I'm convinced this stuff is gonna be as big a revolution in catfishing as the circle hook, so I contacted the company and was made a pro staff member which got me a decent discount, but I still wanted to know if it worked for everyone as well as it did for me, so I got a bunch and sent it out to several members, mods, and sponsors for some more testing,,,most of the guys are far from done but here is a few excerpts from their tests:

Almost lost a rod last weekend Do not know if it was because of using the triple_x as the leader or not .. I hope it was!!

got some line in the mail and went early this AM to give it a good goin over. we had 6 rods set out 3 with 30# chum leaders in 4 hours we caught 12 channels chum line rigged rods caught the majority 9 on the triple fish chum line and 3 on the berkley,even switched the rods up as a control to make sure we didnt just have the chum line in a "sweet spot"...so far im liking it

well the channels dont seem to be "pickin" at the bait as much its usually a rod tap quickly followed by a hard take down..normally with channels i get alot of that "playin with it" crap for along time before they decide to run with it. ive been using this stuff on the big boys as well but so far its been equal with the chum line and big game {2 and 2} i also tried it on bowfin and can really tell a differance with them i had 3 rods out 1 with and 2 without the chum line and caught 8 fins all on the one rod and when they hit it they hammered the bait and ran like a tarpon..it is truely amazing on the fins and so far purty dang good on the cats...it definatly does not effect your changes in a negative way at all

I have also noticed that when a fish takes interest they mug the bait and run insted of nibbling and picking at it. Ive had some screaming runs on the Triple Fish Chumline Leaders so far.

Went out Saturday night on the Scioto River. The only hookup was while using Triplefish leader( lost the fish in a logjam against the bridge). Two runs was on the rod using the Triplefish leader...Nothing on the rod with another type of leader

Went out last night for a couple hours with Wireburner to try for a hawg in front of the huge storm front that rolled through last night.Let me tell you,it was a DOOZIE! We hadnt even had so much as a bite,and were getting ready to go before it started pouring,but I had just changed leaders and put my best live bait out and all the sudden I get a run that sounds like a big flathead or a monster turtle it was moving off steadily so I took a swing and felt some resistance and then nothing (strike one LOL). By this time its sprinkling and starting to come down,but it was a solid run,and I havent got a biggun for a while now and this S.O.B. just stole my best pc. of bait and now its personal! so I re-baited and put back right where I was when I got hit. Threw on my rain poncho and didnt even get the hood up and commenced getting pelted with rain. It was almost like somebody was standing above us on a scaffold and dumping buckets of water on us! After standing there for about 20 mins. and watching one heck of a good light show I start to wonder if standing in the middle of all this is such a great idea. Took two steps to start pulling in lines and something whacked the stuffing out of my warmouth on the freshly rigged pole with the triple fish leader.The clicker stopped but the fish was still on the move it took me a minute to catch up the slack line and as soon as I caught up the fish took off running like a bull on parade I fought the fish for about 10 minutes and finally hand landed it at the bank,ankle deep in the creek weighed it at 44# and it was a real nice flathead that looked a little bigger to me. Tried to get some pics but it was raining way too hard and I couldnt tie the fish up where I was at,so I let it go and the fish kept swimming back to me since there was more water up on the bank than there was in the creek We had 5 poles out and that was the only one with the Triple Fish Chum line and all the others never even got a bump.

so far im a fan of it... it prdoduced when 7 other poles didnt.....after 4-5 hours...then when i put new on...wham 3 fish in an hour

I fished it Monday night in the James. I was using it strictly on one rod and had the bait placed on the same tree as the other 2 were on and getting ate up I didn't get a single hit on that rod for over an hour. After that I didn't put fresh leader on but got bites on that rod the rest of the night

im noticing a trend.......that it has out fished my other line with the same bait while its new (fresh).... I went out last night and didn't tie new on..... had 8 poles in the water with various baits.
got snagged on one of them in a nice stump field so i had to tie on a new leader....no joke after 5 minutes back out i had my first flat of the night.... i have been there about 4-5 hours with no fish ....ok maybe a confidence..but i threw it back out 10 minutes later caught another...... 20 minutes later i end up catching a large sauger also............ so yeh theres a pattern here

I can't gurantee you that you'll kick (butt) in your next tournament, but if you do your part Chumline will definately give you an edge with both live and cutbaits.
