Well, since the National Guard event for the wounded warriors has been postponed, just going to start a thread to see if there's any interest in having a tournament this month. It could be daytime or a night event. Maybe a 3 place event, or winner take all. Just curious.

How bout nighttime at highrock. NCCATS coming to highrock in may...I could use some practice. Just a ideal....I cannot handle the daytime traffic right now.

Okay. I need to talk with some folks yet, but I am looking at a Friday night event, so church goers can fish it also. A night time event, on High Rock. How many fish would ya'll like to weigh in? What are ya'lls thoughts on what ramp to use? Keep in mind where you are wanting to fish, as this will be a start and return by water event, and all boats may or may not be able to navigate under the bridges. We will probably keep the prize structure the same as the Yadkin Mastercatters events. I think this will be fun, and like Catfishrus says, a practice for the NCCATS event.

Im fine with two fish but the NCCATS will be 3 fish. NCCATS last year let folks trailer to get to the low bridge creeks on highrock. Not everybody trailer but some did....still the one who did trailer...left at the same time..so really not a advantage to trailering..it was a disadvantage of about 15 minutes at blast off and weigh in but they launched from second creek. Dont matter to me..HWY 8 at Abotts creek suits me....but Im game for where yal decide...just throwing some options at you on what Ive seen in the past and more than likely will see the same thing in the NCCATS due to the low bridges depending on the water levels in May. We can use my scales and I have the landing permit also..unless you want to get another one.

Okay. Let's shoot for a Friday night event on April 23rd. Thanks for the offer for the scales and landing permit Mike, that will be great. I agree that it is only a disadvantage for the trailering guys, so if your spots require trailering, that will be fine. Let's go ahead with the 3 fish also. I also would like to use the Abbotts Creek ramp off Hwy. 8. I think 12 hours is a good time limit for a night event, although I have seen 13 hour tournaments. So, unless anyone has an objection, we will go from 7pm until 7am. I also think that this will give teams time to make the registration. Mike, can you make this "sticky" so that we can do an online roll call, or "I'll be there"?

I have 2 more teams with unknown names that are supposed to be coming too. They don't usually fish tournaments, but you tell em that they have just as good a chance, and possibility of winning money, and here they come. Flathead fishing starting to pick up nicely, and we only have 8 teams coming? WTH!

Flathead fishing is fun to me. I enjoy a new challenge and it's a lil different than hunting blues so I'm game. I'm gonna' try to make it to this one. Are we launching at Southmont still?

Yes, still launching from Southmont access. I already know that a couple will be trailering. Better hope they make it to the spots before I do by water, LOL!
