i have a eagle seachamp 2000-i bought on close out at a good deal couple years ago. i love the bigger screen but would eventually get a lowrance.
i would like to have the lowrance gauge package and the fuel management system.
Another thing i would like to do is mount a unit at the back networked for drifting, so no turning around all the time. i dont think i can network an eagle.
I have been looking for a dual console with a bay hull pattern so as to be better suited for drifting. If i move from a center console to a dual console i would put my unit where i can use it forward looking or rear looking, with the same unit.

HB 797 csi and a Lowrance LMS 337. The HB lies more than the Lowrance, though. lol Side imaging is great to have, btw.

I've got a HB997. I really like mine.

Last summer I had time to play with my sonar unit a lot. One fishing trip we found some slower current to drift. This allowed my bait to stay straight down under the boat so the sonar could see the bait as we drifted down the river. We caught 2 35lbers that day & one of them shows up on screen. You can see the bait go over him, then he swims down stream and up hitting the bait. Also you can see him fighting and then as he is coming up to the boat he swims under the transducer at about 25ft deep.

The image attached is the downward sonar feature. I do use the side scan feature but mostly to find structure.
