Default ODCC September Tournament

The ODCC will hold its next tournament on Septemper 24th beginning at 7:00 P.M. The tournament will end promptly at 7:00 A.M on September 25th. The event will be held out of the Hopewell Marina. All rules will remain the same as the last event with the following exception:

Tournament participation requires a permanently or temporarily installed in-boat live well. No decoy bags allowed.
No fish are to be transported out of the water.

Updated Tournament Rules and Regulations

*No membership is required. All tournaments are open.
*Entry fee for all tournaments will be $40.00 per team with 90% ***out.
*We will ***out the top 3 spots regardless of the number of boats entered in the tournament.
*A team shall be 1 - 4 anglers.
*No alcoholic beverages may be consumed during tournament hours.
*All teams will have the option to enter the biggest fish jackpot for $10.00 a team with 100% ***back.
*All fish must be caught on rod and reel within tournament hours on the body of water set for that tournament or its feeder creeks.
*2 fish per boat can be weighed, but each boat has to abide by DGIF law, so there can only be 1 32”+ fish per person. For example, if there is only 1 angler in a boat, he can only weigh 1 fish that exceeds 32”.
*Any bait may be used unless restricted by law.
*No trailering of boats will be allowed.
*All tournaments are catch and release only. All fish will become the property of the Old Dominion Catfish Club and will be released at the tournament site. Releasing of the fish shall be the responsibility of the team, under the supervision of a tournament officer. Any team who
refuses to follow the direction of said officer shall be disqualified.
*All fishing must be done from a boat.
*No dead fish will be weighed in at any time. Fish must swim away within 5 min of being placed in the water. If they don’t, they are considered a dead fish and will be disqualified from the weigh-in.
*All members of each team must sign a waiver before each tournament.
*One member from each team must check in before the tournament dead line. The team’s chip must be hanging on the board to be considered checked-in on time.
*No stringers may be used at any time for any tournament fish.
*Tournament participation requires a permanently or temporarily installed in-boat live well. No decoy bags allowed.
No fish are to be transported out of the water.
*All pre-fishing must stop 7 hours before the scheduled tournament start time.
* Bait fishing is allowed prior to tournament
*Weigh-In Policy- The entire team must be present at the weigh-in and returning in the original boat. If a team hasn’t checked in by the determined weigh-in time, they will be disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS. A disabled boat can be towed as long as it is in by the deadline.
*All protests must be brought to the attention of a committee member in writing
within 10 minutes after weigh-in with a $40.00 protest fee that is refundable if complaint is upheld. This fee must be paid at the time of the protest to be considered valid.
*Old Dominion Catfish Club tournament officials shall reserve the right to refuse any tournament entry to any person or team.

I suppose this is still on? with all the rain we could have issues with debris on the river. Let us know promptly if it gets canceled.

It has been brought to the tournament committee's attention and will be discussed as the members log in. I don't think there will be much of a problem since we aren't getting the rain they expected us to get. Either way I'm still fishing!

Yikes, then I guess ya haven't seen the flood watch warnings and seen there is no less than 40% chance of rain Sat thru Sunday morning and their calling for 1 to 2 inches with higher amounts locally. The only thing I would change would be to move up the weigh in to 8am so people could make the run back in the daylight and avoid some of y'alls debris.

ONE final thought you wouldn't happen to remember that I attract thunderstorms, windstorms, hailstorms, tornadoes and quite a few of the biblical plaques that happened in Eygpt wouldja.
