Default New to MC2 from Missouri

Hello folks......signed up a day or two ago and thought I'd post.

Don't see too much going on in the Missouri section, any other folks from around my parts.

I am about an hour NW of St. Louis and fish the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Been a rough year with all of the constant flooding but things are looking up.

I run a 2072 SeaArk (highly modified) LOL!

Where are some of you folks from and what kind of boats are you chasing Catfish on?

Well, rather than go into detail at this point, I'll just post a pic.

This is my baby, her name is the CAT SASS.

Waaaaaay too much money invested and still doing mods, LOL! She sports an 1197 Humminbird (not pictured), several mods in the works yet, and probably a 4-stroke 140 Suzuki to replace the 90 Yammy at some point in the future.

Nice looking rig you got there. That top makes it look sporty to say the least. Heavy duty rod rack too...NICE boat.

Whats up with the motor change thoughts..I have a yamaha on mine...4 stroke very happy with it. Dipnet has that same boat with a 90 2 stroke yamaha on it..she runs pretty good.

The motor is great and pushes her just fine but sucks gas and is loud compared to my buddys 4-stroke Suzuki. Always regretted not equipping her with the MAX horsepower she is rated for.

Not really a good investment to pull a fairly new low hour motor and replace it but I am beyond the point of getting a good return on my investment with all the high dollar mods.

The thing about mods is that you have to do them for yourself, they don't normally increase the value of your boat by much, especially if you go overboard on them.

Hey BigDav, small world!

Rod rack is custom from stainless steel tubing. Tower is a stainless/aluminum wakeboard tower from Big Air Pylons, Bimini is from Monster Towers. The LED light bar is custom, made with 2x5 stainless rectangular tube. Wired remote-controlled searchlight, horn and LED anchor light purchased also but required custom mounts fabbed. All wiring ran inside tubing for a clean look.

Future mods are a misting system from the bimini, a Grayline or Super Bait Tank II in a custom enclosure and on and on and on.........

Now.......who else has some BOATS to show?

Whats the deal with the boat ratings? i.e. 2096?

Was curious so looked them up, I guess different manufacturers rate them differently.

The SeaArks rate them on floor width. Ex: My 2072 is 20'1" long and the floor width is 72" with a beam of 95".

The Polar Kraft and Lowes apparently rates boat size based on beam width???? Ex: the 2096 has a beam of 96", only 1 inch wider than the 2072 SeaArk.

Just thought it was odd.

Probably too much boat talk for an introduction thread.

Thanks for the reply's and welcome also to Grettig. Seems a lot of folks from NC on the board, not so much the midwest where I hail from.
