Default Navionics HotMaps Platinum

Cabela's has the Navionics HotMaps Platinum on sale in the Bargin Cave for $99, normally $200 for the Platinum card. Just thought I would pass it along. They have the region 11 (NC, SC, VA, etc) in stock, not sure about the other regions.

Might be why they out of stock? I went into one in Nebraska years ago on a hunting trip. I remember my dad walking in the door...I quote him" finally a wal marts for men".

I have the Navionics Premium '09 chip, and was hoping to upgrade to the Platinum. No biggie though. Mine suffices for my needs, until I can upgrade.

not so easy to copy, SD = secure digital and files are encrypted. I saved my files from chip but they are useless. it wouldnt read in finder and cant open on computer with any program I've found.

I tried Navonics program with card reader. it will show me files and I can open them.I copy all and put on desktop and they move ok.... but when you open nothing works. Then copied to a blank SD card and put in HB 997. it said map not found, so took it out and put it in navionics card reader and it said card not found. I went to some (hacker) sites to see how they were doing it and they were saying that they have nothing for the new chips. I'm sure they will figure it out eventally but have heard of nothing yet. I did hear if you mess up the original Navionic chip, they won't replace it.
