Hello from Oklahoma
Hi everyone. Doug the dink slayer here. I love catfishing, but so far the big ones have eluded me. Thats okay though, because I like to be outdoors and I like fooling with my fishing gear. I'm a big fan of Abu Garcia reels, and I like to try out lots of different brands of rods. I fish from the bank, where I enjoy a nice cigar while I'm waiting for a bite. I'm married with 2 children in college. I am anxious to learn from and hopefully contribute to this great forum. Thanks for having me.

 I'm pretty familiar with the Ft. Sill area and caught my first 50 lber outta Lake Elsworth,,,,but that was 30 years ago,,,are they still nailing them flathead heads to the fence posts

I'm in practically the same situation, usually fishing from shore, don't get many fish at all, and those are usually small. Love messing with my gear. I just got a fishing kayak last year. I've caught a few cats out of it. Hopefully when the weather warms up I'll catch more kitties out of it. Until then, I'm fishing from the shore.

Thanks everyone! Yep, Ft. Sill is still booming and you can still find catfish heads nailed to the fence posts around here. Elsworth produces some big cats. My biggest came from there. Allen, that kayak should be a lot of fun. I'm ready for some warm weather myself.

Okc nw side !
Whats up all ! just wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions for some good catfishin on the nw side of OKC we are thinking hefner or overholser tonight ?? Any spots you wanna share open for suggestions
