Easily make a good sized livewell in around 15 minutes
Parts needed.... 1 round plastic "washtub" with the rope handles. -Dollar store 1 20 inch wooden accent table. -Walmart 1 12v portable bucket type aerator -Walmart 1 12 air pump with sttone (optional) -Walmart 1 short bungee cord 3 wire ties 1 short piece of rope. 1 cord switch I discovered quite by accident that the cheap round accent tables that walmart sells fit nicely as a lid on the chap plastic washtubs commonly found in dollar stores and dept stores. The top is even beveled to rest perfectly on the top. The only real assembly to this portable livewell is driling a hole in the center of the tabletop lid to pass a knoted rope through for a lifting handle, and cutting a bungee and attaching it to one of the rope handles on the wastub. The bungee pulls the ropes across the top and holds it firmlly in place. Remove the mounting brackets for the legs of the table as well. Once the top is rigged all thats needed is to stick the 12v aerator to the bottom hook up the cord switch to one of the wires and cut a little slit to hang the air pump on the side if you want. I also drilled a hole in the rim to hold my bait net. Took me about 15 minutes to assemble. Here are some pics to show how it all goes together. Heres how the finished livewell looks.... ![]() A close up of the top. You can see where the screw holes are where I removed the brackets for the table legs. The yellow rope has a knot inside and out to hold it in place as a lifting handle. ![]() Here is how the bungee is attached once a hook is cut from one end, I used pliers to pull the wire ties real tight and melted the end of the bungee a bit to prevent fraying. ![]() Optional air pump mounted to the side. A heated up hacksaw blade melted a perfect slit right through the tub and for the hanging bracket. ![]() Inside showing the aerator pump and a few guests.

Awesome Im glad I seen that it gives me an idea for another style bait tank
That overhanging lip seems like it would be usefull for insulating the tank as well. Im looking to upgrade from a 15 gallong bait tank to a 30 and have all the bells and whistles thanks for bringin that over.

the absolute best in aeration is the keep alive system http://www.kee***ive.net/
you can copy it with some air tubing, a drill and an adjustable aquarim valve. Next up the best aerators are true 110v ac aquarim aerators,,of course that takes a hellavu extension cord,,but what I do is plug in a 400 watt ac converter and run the aerators with them. The best stone is from Catfish Connection MARINE METAL STONE DIFFUSER 5in Item Number: MMPSD5
