Easy bite detector by MadKatter

some of you may already do this but this is a tip my dad gave me years ago.
first ya need to find ya a small stick,even cut a small limb off a tree{the greener the better} about the size of a drinking straw or so and cut it a good 18 or so inches long,take out your pocket knife and whittle one end into a sharp point. on the other end cut ya a notch with a deep enough lip to hold you line. cast your rod out and after ya set you rod in its holder put the stick in the ground in front of your rod holder{lightly so it can be pulled out easily} ,pull some slack from you rod tip and pull it down and slip the line in the notch of the stick and the take one of them clip on bells and clip it to the stick. and presto just wait for a fish to yank it out and youll hear that bell being flung into the air.
i know i hate them rod tip bells for the simple fact your line can and will get tangled in it causing you to loose the fish. if anyone needs a pic of this let m eknow and ill hook it up.
