Believe it or not I still don't have a well the Driller had his hip replaced last week and I am betting that with all the problems they have had with losing the casing dropping 50ft of inch and a half airline and weight bar down the well and then busting the casing trying to recover it they will have to drill a new well but other than that I have been fishing Chuck came over with 2 friends Joel and Richard last Wednesday when we had the cold front move in 75 in the day time and 40 at night
they got here about 3pm so we got a late start I took them out and setup bottom fishing while we caught some bait on the ultralites which was a blast we were catching perch bream and small channels Richard caught a gar off a big pole and we had a school of stripers come in a clean out our bait they were short striking I thought about rigging some stinger hooks but these were smaller stripers so I let it go we setup in the anchor hole for the evening and missed a couple and caught a couple between 5 and 10lb's we quit at midnight because of the cold that they weren't setup for and because the Wife's vacation started Thursday morning when she got off of work and I had to go get her I had smoked a boston butt and we had some smoked pork sandwiches I got about an hours nap then ran back to Beech Island and picked up Lisa I had shown Chuck where to setup in the morning till I got back of course Lisa had a stop or 2 she wanted to make on the way back so I met up with them at Scarbough's Landing about 11:30am they had added 1 more 5lb channel we had a NNE wind that wouldn't let me setup the long drifts I like so we went out by the dam and setup some short drifts across the channel and out to deep water we were listening to the Guides fishing on the southside of the Lake and they wern't having a good day but we hit the right areas and they added 6 or 7 more nice Blues up to 15lbs They had to leave early so we called it a day about 3:30 and headed in and I cleaned fish for them they ended up with about 25lb's of fillets ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
