I put the boat in at mtcreek boat ramp this morn. at 9:00. I was looking for bait and fish. I rode up river pass the rock shoal, I couldn't find any fish and only caught to shad. So i took off toward the dam, I stoped several times looking for fish, I only seen a few on the fish finder. I went all the way to the dam, the fish finder lit up with bait and fish about a 100 yards from the dam. I caught bait in frount of the dam and then move to the side intill i got out of the schools of shad. I just got 3 rods out wene one of them bent toward the back of the boat. It was a 39lb flat head in 48 degree water that was kinda strange. I ended up useing 5 rods that was about all i cud handel. The fish would hit all at ones and then nothing for about 20 mins and then it was on again.. I had 3 rods with fish on them at one time. thats tuff wene you are by your self.. Anyway !!,,, I caught 12 blues from 8lb to 18lb and the 39lb cold water flat head... Now thats a good day of catfishing!!!!! Heres a few pic...

Having too many fish on to handle is a problem I'd like to have

We sometimes catch flats when the water is that cold but none of them are even close the the size of that one! Nice fish man!!
