Blewett Falls

Went and fished Blewett today. Got there around 9 and couldn't catch any bait. So I used some crappie and squid I had left in the freezer. Left around 2 with nothing in the cooler. I had never been on the lake before and I had gotten some info from ol' Uncle Buck!! Well, I fished some spots he told me to fish and came up zero, not a nary bite. This will be the last time I ever try anything that Buck says!! Buck, You outta be ashamed of yourself!!

you got to have fresh shad to catch fish on blewett and its really tough to catch shad in the daylight there ... The last time i went over there was 3 weeks ago . caught 26 in 4 hours but the water is warming up so they aint no telling where the fish are ... you had alot agaist you ..

TQ..I got to give ol' buck credit on them crappies..he put the biggest one I ever seen in my boat one morning..it was for bait and the darn thing looked like it would go every bit 3lbs. I just like giving the fellow a hard time.

As for the 500 yard shotgun..that all got started when buck killed a turkey one day..long shot and I was picking at him about it...then my dad jumped on him about shooting 500 yards to get that turkey then the story stuck Buck had a 500 yard shotgun....LOL. Threw in a little rust and it was on..talking junk to him. All in good fun of coarse.

I Don't want any of you to think I'm mad at ol' Buck. Me and him have been giving each other H$LL ever since I could talk. I have to admit, he has taught me alot about hunting and fishing. He used to take me to Santee every year over Easter fishing. He'd get me out early from school on Thrusday and me and him would take off till Sunday. I kinda miss that.

CFRS, Ask him about the time he told me to throw the anchor or the time a fished jerked his high dollar rod and reel in the water when I had it laying under the boat seat!!! The best one is when He bought a brand knew spotlight and rigged it up with a lamp plug to use in the boat. Well, I take off in the house with it to show grandmaw and grandpaw. I figured since he put a plug on it it would also work in the house. WRONG!!! Plugged it in and POW!!!! Blew it slap up!!!!! I could go on and on with stories about me and Buck!!!!

That plug in is a redneck thing..developed in Rowan county. I knew you was just giving him a hard time ..thats why I jumped on the ban wagon first thing. Hes a pretty good old fellow when hes asleep. Has he always looked like Grizzly Adams?

Hey, Us rednecks from Rowan County have very impressive enginuity!!! As far as I can remember he has always had the Grizzly Adams look!! I don't think I have ever seen him without a beard. I think he keeps the beard shaggy cause before too long that will be the only hair on his head!!!I got a picture of Ol' Buck somewhere that I need to find and scan in and post. Ya'll would die laughing!!! Talk about a REDNECK!!! He might end up disowning me after that!!!!! I'll see if I can find it.

Yall boys are oky too . I dont care what all the other folks say about you. Before my mam died she told me to look after Brain. Boy she did know how hard that was going to be. Its all good times. The rod thing was funny Brain was around 15 years old and i toke him and his friend to badin. He toke his dads r/r that cost him about $200.00 . We sit up on that long point going in to gar creek.( this was 25years ago) Brian put that rod on the seat . I told him that it was going to get jecked in. He llaughed and Bang the rod was gone. He looked at me and starting laughing and i started laughing too. He said what you laughing at. I said laughing thinking of that @$$ whipping you going to get when you tell your dad. I caught alot of cats off that point before Little Mexico was put there.
