Ok, this one is for the ambitious fishermen out there, I won’t even include the women in this one, they have better sense than to try and make something this good to fish with. Here again it’s a spring bait before they hit the beds.
What you’ll need: about 500 crickets or grasshoppers (store bought will work) three tubs of meal worms or maggots (ca***a worms are best but hard to get some places) ½ cup flower 2 cup cornflakes 1 pack cherry kool-aid 1/3 cup marshmallow cream 1cup hot water a blender used for nothing else bit making baits Now this is the easy part, crush the cornflakes and put in GLASS bowl, add flower,,kool-aid ,marshmallow cream and start adding the water a little at a time, mix with your hand in a squeezing motion till the mix is a stiff sticky paste, keep adding the water till you reach this point. here is the gross part, in the blender dump the crickets or grasshoppers and worms (don’t use earth worms as they are too juicy) pulse the blender till the stuff is mixed well but not runny, and there are no live ones left, not mix this with the cornflake mix, make into 1 inch balls and refrigerate at least a day in a covered and plastic wrapped container. you not have the best dough bait around, works on carp too Original post by Trapperearl Last edited by Stonewall; 02-21-2009 at 09:35. |
