I know you kidding but it has been ruff for me. We fished last night and Eric caught two...I didnt even get a hit and his one fish never pulled the clicker and it was the biggest fish at 35 lbs. We just havent been able to close the deal here lately...keep fishing Tillery..usually I can find fish down there...not lately. If it wherent for the fact of catching one fish here and one fish there...I would say somebody cleaned its clock this summer but the pattern I see is scattered fish so I know I havent found the "mother load" yet. I know the fish are still there....soemwheres. We been fishing at night...and it was a bit chilly last night to set there until 5.00 AM and never get a hit...yet I never gave up...we kept searching and might of hit on something although it didnt pay off last night. I remember the time when I was tickled to death to have a 35 lber caught in my boat ......maybe we just getting picky. All I can tell yal...is you better hope my bad luck streak dont wear off at badin because when Im lucky at badin...Im deadly and most of the time...fast too. Momma said they would be days like this....she just didnt tell me it would be that cold.

I cant wait for the day to put a 30+ pounder in the boat, that would make my day, "I would be tickeled to death" but I guess when you catch a few like that, you always want the next one to be even bigger, thats the drive that keeps us all going back even after bad nights.

I know..I enjoy taking new folks out...I promised fisherhead a trip over thanksgiven...had to cancel on him but I left it up to him...we just wasnt on nothing! Then the next week we won the tourney...lol. So fisherhead and I was to get together and fish over christmas one day...here we are again...I cant help him....matter of fact... last night I couldnt help myself...lol. Last year Dream team was smoking em this time of year..hasnt happened this year. I dont mind talking about it either because I will learn something out of this before its over....thats what will pay off in the long run..right now..just got to suck it up and keep trying. Personally I think our problem is putting too much faith into proven spots that we know worked in the past but we not marking the fish in those spots that we once did. They still producing a few fish but that is what we are marking now...a few fish. We doing the same thing with the weather patterns...what put fish in one spot last year and the year before..not working this year. fish are scattered out big time at Tillery...notice the Tillery tourney results...those 20 lb fish came from one end of the lake to the other. Also look at big fish of the month for Dec. Cat hunter caught two fish...last year if we got a good one at tillery usually we caught some fish. Belwitt seems to be doing pretty good right now...cape fear doing good...still they are different environments..hard to compare. So as you can see...I been doing alot fo thinking about why I cannot catch a fish right now...once I figure it out...I will know why...just another feather in the hat to dust off the violin with.....LMAO.

Tillery is different this year with all the rain. Just guessing hear since I don't have the knowledge of tillery that you guys have, but I'm not catching them either in spots I did last year. I never have caught the amount ya"ll have. I have always had to run and gun. So that's what i do,no bite in say 1 hour.I'm hauling anchor. Backs getting sore

The muddy water has been KILLING me, live baiting for stripers. CH, I think your right about all the moving water. The fish have stayed s-c-a-t-t-e-r-e-d out and not piled up on the old favorite drive thru's. Cold water is here early this year and a shad kill is eminate, then we're really going to have a tough bite. I for one, want a shad kill so bad it ain't even funny. The following year after a shad kill is usually a pretty good year for everyone .
