Default Alligator Hunting Lake Marion

I was lucky enough to pull a tag this year in the draw hunt and am hoping to be lucky enough to get a gator. I have the midlands region and was looking for some help on finding some gators. We are going down this weekend to do some scouting and was wondering if any of you guys could give some insighton some good areas to try out. Thanks

I know the area around crappie neck and big oak hold some big gators. You can stay at Harry's or Canal Lakes. Both places put you real close.

Youngin, did you ever get your gator tag filled?

I know gator hunting is not as easy as it looks, especially to fill one tag! Seeing them is one thing, but getting a hook them is another.

How are you all actually getting the gator? Setting up for a rifle shot? Or using a limb-line baited with a BIG hook and a chicken leg, like they do in Louisiana?
