Default 26 November,2011 on the James River

Took a day off from work (been doing 7 days a week since the Fishing trip on the 22nd of October). I put in at Dutch Gap and motored around looking at some of my old up river holes, many had good markings and were active as I thought they would be. I did not wet a line till I reached a secret hole I found several years ago when my old boat knoked out and I was drifting trying to fix it. I set up and before I could get the second line in the water Virginia had a 35 ponder on the deck. with the lines baited and in the next 2 hours went by fast with several mid to hi teens and another hi 30's fish, sorry there are no pics but one of the batteries had leaked in the camera and it would not work so I am off to day to get a new one. Anyway we moved to a hole that I love to fish in the spring because the way it's set up I can anchor and fish for cats off the back and crappies off the front, well we had a bait rod with us and Virginia ended up boating several nice crappie while I took a nap and let the cat rods soak for an hour or so, ended up with a nice reel screamer but no hookup, I think I was late on the pickup, might be that using a clicker as an alarm clock is not normally a good thing. anyway we ended the day with a beautiful sunset and a mess of crappies for the neighbor.

All in all a good day fishing.
