Badin results for sept 27,2008

We had 17 teams to compete in this event.

1st place went Jeremy Dowd(Gearhead) & Chase Dowd with 63lbs. They also had big fish at 35.4lbs. Total winnings $340.00


2nd place went to Mark Kimball(buck), Charles Kimball & Johnny Myers with a 47lbs. Total winnings $153.00


3rd place went to Stephen Upright(Mule) and Tony Upright with a weight of 34.2lbs. Total winnings $102.00





Lake tillery results for Oct. 11, 2008

We had 16 teams to compete in this event.

1st Place went to Jim(Pier Preasure) and John Davidson with a winning weight of 47lbs. They also had big fish at 32.4lbs. Total winnings $320.00


2nd Place went to Bryan Burris and Michael Chandler(catfishrus) with a weight of 34.2lbs. Total winning $144.00


3rd Place went to Jeremy Dowd(Gearhead) and Brian Needham with 33.6lbs. Total winnings $96.00

We had some great prefishing reports for Badin this past week but the fishing today with the passing weather front over night was a big change for all the teams today. We had 15 teams to make the show today. Taking home 1st place went to the team of Michael Chandler (catfishrus) and Joe Wood (Frogman) with a winning weight of 35lbs even. They also took home big fish of the event with a personal best catch for Frogman with a 28.6lb blue cat. Total winning was $300.00 plus two cases of red bull energy drink.




2nd place went to the team trio team of Jon Dowd, Chad Harris, and Peter Dowd with a weight of 25lbs even winning $135.00. They also took home the Tiger rod door prize with a target weight of 29lbs. Sorry to report the fish picture came out blurry on their catch but I have one of the door prize to share.



3rd place went to the trio team of Mark Kimball(buck), Bud Kimball, and Johnny Myers with 22.4lbs winning $90.00


I would like to thank all the teams for showing their support for the Yadkin Mastercatters Tournaments. Also would like to thank gearhead for bringing on red bull energy drinks. These winners need a way to regain their strenght after fighting these monster yadkin river cats. No better way to do it. Thanks again.

Lake Tillery Tourney results for dec. 6 2008
We had 8 teams to make the show today. The fishing was great for numbers but the big ones was a early morning bite for most.

1st Place went to Jeremy Dowd(gearhead), Bryan Needham, and Chris Cole with a winning weight of 56.4lbs taking home $144.00 plus two cases of Red Bull energy drink.




2nd place went to Michael Chandler (catfishrus) and Pat Shooter(bigcatwannbe) with a weight of 50.8lbs taking home $96.00.



Big fish of the day went to Jerry Arnold with a 39.6lb blue cat taking home $40.00.

Badin lake tourney results for Jan31,2009.

We had a good turnout with 14 teams coming out to take on the big waters of Badin Lake. Weather was nice with little to no breze to kick start the morning with a little breeze picking around lunch time. Blue bird skies but a cold start to the morning. Fishing was hit or miss for half the field. Had 7 teams to weigh in. Taking home first place was a first time winner in the yadkin mastercatters series but he done it in style taking home big fish honors plus total weight for the day. Its been a long time coming I might add for his tourney fishing. He almost stole the bounty money!

1st place went to team Tomahawk with 72.8lbs. Big fish of the day at 48.2lbs. Total winning was $290.00 plus two cases of Red Bull energy Drink


2nd place went to a team that Im proud to say is my fathers team. Steve Chandler and Tony waugh with weight of 32.4lbs. Total winnings was $126.00


3rd place went to one of our new teams. Jonathan Hussey, Chris Hussey, and Mathew Hussey. They had a amazing channelcat pushing the scales to 20.2lbs! Almost or real close to a state record! They took 3rd place honors with a weight of 22.4lbs. Total winning was $84.00


4th place went to (Buck) Mark Kimball and Johnny Myers winning the abu reel donated by Bigcatwannbe. limit of fish weighing at 21.6lbs.



I would like to thank everyone of you for coming to fish today. Hope you enjoyed yourself ...I know I did. We got a great group of folks fishing these events. Thanks also for the donations for Bob wheeler. I know he missed fishing with us today but I believe he was looking down on us with a smile on his face.

Hers is a picture of cutbait and circlehooks catch. They finished 5th...one spot of the prize pot. Nice fish for another new team in our series. Way to go guys.

Lake tillery results for March 7,2009


Alright we finished out the season with a bang at Lake Tillery today. We had a total of 13 teams to make the show. Weather was great with sunshine for everybody. Only bad thing was lots of boat traffic to go with sunshine. We had 7 teams come to the scales with 30 lbs plus pounds for a two fish limit. Congrates to all our winners.

1St place went to Jerry 9497 and Frogman with 56.8lbs. Frogman set a new PB blue cat at 43.8lbs to push their team to big fish of the event also. Total winnings was $195.00 for first place and $130.00 for big fish of the day.



This team also took home two cases of Redbull Energy Drink


2Nd place went to team catfishrus. I was the dipnet getter today while these two young fellows fought the big yadkin cats. They let one slip through on them that could have pushed them into first place but you cant catch em all. Total weight for the two fish limit was 46.2lbs for Winston and Hunter. Total winnings was $117.00




3rd Place went team gearhead with a weight of 41.2lbs Which held off any charges to over take the point lead from Jeremy Dowd. $80.00 for the 3rd place finish. Jeremy Took home the 2008/2009 championship fund of $600.00 along wit a nice plaque to have on the wall. Congrates jeremy ...you earned it buddy.




4th place went to team pier preasure with 40.8lbs


Here is a first time tourney team(cathunter) to te Yadkin mastercatters series with a nice cat at 36 lbs even. Guys you just need something to go with that nice fish..you would of been in the money...congrates on your fine catch.


Okay my little team just wanted to show off a little for everybody to show what they can really catch in the big leagues. They had a five fish stringer for over a 100lbs today. I had alot of fun out there today watching and dipnetting these fellows fish. They had a ball too.


Fellows I want to thank everyone of you for your support in these tourneys this year. Everytime we have one of these events someone is always standing there to ask about our series. I end up talking with them hoping to add a team in the future. I dont get to talk to everyone at these events so I just want to say thank you.

P.S someone remind me next weekend at the NCCATS to hand out the Hope for warrior pamlets to you fellows. Still got a few hats left too.

I want to know what frogmans secrets are...he only fished two events this year and won both of them. Caught PB both times too. I asked him yesterday morning if he had them cookies of his on the boat and he said no. I think he was holding out on me. Maybe it had something to do with the big fish getting boat at Tillery of Jerrys. Jerry had big fish this time and big fish last time at Tillery. Maybe hes been fishing Tillery with badin as a cover up. I have learned a little about gearhead too....when hes got that white ford hat on at the tourneys ..he means business. Thats what I was referring too on the old board about him being superstious..that white ford hat. Here is why...why would a man that works on a Toyota race team be wearing a ford hat on the weekends if he wasnt. Yal watch him and see if hes got it on next weekend.

we had alot of fun fishing these tx with yall and i have learned alot ever tx i've fished.congrants on the points win gearhead. as for the ford hat . i would not wear it even if it was lucky . congrants on the win jerry some one that spends as much time on the water as you needs to win some of these. good job on the pb frogman. as for his secret we need to check that back pack of his i tought i saw a air tank in it. glad yall two could win one for bob wheeler. thanks for letting me be apart of this.

thanks all, we had fun fishing. we had a typical trip like everybody else and with 2 fish around 15 lbs, we anchored on a spot a little longer than I normally do, while I slept , when I woke up, Joe was still steady fishing. we started planning where to go next and bam the big one hit!
moral of the story.... just go fishing...

Michael,Thats my lucky G Loomis cap .Its does have a blue oval but with a fish skeleton in the oval.I have the master catter cap I bought from Pat but didn't do to well at the Badin tournament when I wore it.
