We had a field of 9 teams to take on the yadkin river system at badin lake today. The winning team was Jeff Cole(cmj) and Jeff Nioxn(jpn) with a winning weight of 43.4lbs for a two fish limt. The bait of choice for the winners was white perch and the fish came from 60 ft of water. The Cole and Nixon team took home the grand purse of 225.00 for winning big fish at 25.4lbs and best total weight of a two fish limt. Coming in second place was the Jeremy Dowd (gearhead1)team with a weight of 26.4lbs with a two fish limit. 3rd place was brought in by the Chris Hammill(rookie12)and Michael Chandler(catfishrus) team with a weight of 21.2lbs with a two fish limit. Congrates to the winners and a special thanks to all who came out and made Yadkin Catmasters Fall Series another success story. If anyone is interested in fishing one of these events feel free to to come on. You dont need a big nice fancy boat to catfish in tournamnets. Let me tell you this the winning team has a 25 hp and second place has a 20hp. Between these two teams they have won both events this year.

winners taking home the prize money CONGRATULATIONS!

What a nice day to be on the lake. We had a great turnout of 12 teams. Some seemed to struggle on the bigger fish but the ones that found them seem catch a few nice ones. Catching fish wasnt a problem today but finding a good quaility bite was a little tuffer but it was there once you found them. Taking home first place was the team of Chris Fraley and Dennis Leonard with a winning of 51.6lbs for a two fish limit. They also took home big fish honors with a 26.4lb blue cat. Taking home second place was the team of Lonnie White and Phil Leonard with a weight of 38.2lbs with a two fish limit. 3rd place went to the Michael Chandler and Chris Hammill team with a weight of 32.8lbs and 4 the place went to Jeff Cole and Danny Campbell team with 29.2lbs and rounding out th top 5 was Chris Cole and Jeremy Dowl with a weight of 19lbs. Yours truely brought back home the abu 6500 c3 reel with a 3rd place finish on big fish weighing in at 18.2lbs. Since we didnt have a 50lb big fish weighed in im going to leave the bounty out for our next Lake Tillery event which will be in sometime in jan. should have dates posted in a week for that event. Also the 6500 c3 will be back on the block for a 3rd place big fish catcher too. So make sure you come out to the Tillery event. Would like to thank everyone for coming out today and supporting this series. This was our biggest field of any event so far. Lets make it even bigger next month. I enjoyed it friends. here is the pictures

1st place and big fish

2nd place

3rd place

We had 9 teams to come out tillery this morning for a great day to be on the lake. Beautiful skies and lite wind but a real foggy start to the morning. There was nice current in the lake most of the morning. The bite was off compared to most teams pre fishing trips maybe due to the passing through of the front yesterday. Most teams said they was marking nice fish but they just wasnt biting but as usual we had several teams to bring fish to the scales. Bait of choice varied from team to team. taking home 1st. place was the team of Jerry Arnold and Eric Fincher with a winning weight of 37.2lbs and taking home 180.00. 2nd place went to a husband and wife team of bob and pat wheeler with a weight of 34lbs with one fish. They took home the big fish pot of 45.00. 3rd place finish was the team of jeff cole and jeff nixon with a weight of 30.8lbs and they also took home the abu 6500 c3 reel with a 3rd place big fish weight of 20.8lbs. The Yadkin Catmasters would like to say a big congrates to these top 3 finishers.

1st place winners

2nd place

3rd place

We had 6 teams come out today and take on the giant cats at badin lake today. Turned out to be a rather windy day and a slow bite for most of the teams. This will be our last event until the coming fall of 2008. Seems we saved the best for the last event of the season. Taking home 1st place was the team of Bryan and Hunter Burris of new london and Michael Chandler of Midland with a winning weight of 82.6lbs. This is the new record weight for a 2 fish limit in our series. 2nd place was the team of Jeremy Dole from China Grove and Chris Cole of Jackson Springs with a weight of 43.6lbs. I would like to take time to thank all of you fisherman for making this series a success story. We had a couple of new guys come out today and its just a sign of the interest in catfishing along the Yadkin river system. We growing and i look for good thing this coming fall. I have really enjoyed it and i think most of you fellows have also. What a learning experience it has been. Keep them fishing reports coming and practice up for this coming fall. Thanks alot guys!!!!
