1st Cape Fear Cats Tournament

The first Cape Fear Cats tournament will be held April 25 at the down town boat ramp in Wilmington from 4pm to 12am. $20 per person and a $10 per boat big fish pot. 2 fish limit, rod and reel only. Contact (pm) me or Randy for more information. I'm getting excited already!!!

Randy got the rest of the rules wrote up last night. One of us will post them here soon! Any of you Yadkin boys what wanna come down and fish feel free. We're also gonna do one at Sutton and the NE Cape Fear later in the year. If anybody wants to trailer that far I've got a spare bedroom and plenty of space in the driveway for another boat

Cape Fear Cats

1-2 fish weigh in per boat
2-observe all local,state and federal fishing regulations
3-obey all safety and boating regulations
4-8 rod limit per boat (rod& reel ONLY NO OTHER MEANS )
5-tournament waters off limits 24 hours before tournament
6- no trailering allowed ( no exceptions)
7-must be at weigh in no later than 30 minutes after tournament ends =( fish 4 till 12 – 12:30 cut off at scales)
8-directors reserve the right to refuse any applicants,if caught cheating you will not be eligible to fish any other touranments …..
9-all boat captains must check in with directors prior to tournament
10-catch and relaeseof all live fish would be apprecitated (15inch minimum size limit )

Entry fee 20.00 per man
10.00 dollars per boat big fish pot
100% pay back paying positions determined by no, of entries

We've had a couple boats have to drop out already. My buddy Britton has school and Matt has baseball in Maryland that weekend. Hopefully we'll get some more interest.

Hey mon are us Islanders welcome ? I wish I had found this site earlier so I would have known about it sooner. I wish y'all good fishing. I will make the next one. Getting ready for a big payout tournament in Ga. www.waynetourism.com its in Jesup on the Althamaha River may 2-3 then its big cat quest May 30th on the same river. I'm trying to get ready for these 2. I'll be prefishing the weekend that your tourney is going on. I promise to make the next one ! Maybe y'all would like to do a Santee tournament they have a good one 1st weekend in August out of Blacks fish Camp.

Althamaha River is a great place to catch fat flatheads I used to have kin in Jessup but mostly hung out closer to ocmulgee river and a couple of nice lakes in middle georgia. I lived there until 5 years ago
